Quarantine days often felt repetitive—waking up late, picking up breakfast with a sluggish heart, and staring at the unchanged horizon from my hostel window. The aroma of Pongal filled the air, yet my thoughts drifted elsewhere.
That was when my gaze caught something unusual—a tiny insect, injured, struggling on the floor. At first, it seemed helpless, stuck in its predicament, much like how I felt during those endless lockdown days.
But as I observed closely, something shifted within me. The insect was fighting to stand, pushing itself despite its fragile form. It was as if the universe whispered a lesson to me through this tiny creature: "If you don't get up, you will die."
I grabbed my camera, compelled to capture this moment. There it was, a small being defying its fate, refusing to succumb. And then, after relentless effort, it stood. A second later, it spread its delicate wings and flew away, embracing a second chance at life.
What seemed like a trivial struggle to me was, in reality, a monumental challenge for the insect. That single move, a mere shift in posture, defined the difference between life and death.
Watching it, I realized something profound—our smallest decisions, our tiniest actions, can change our destiny.
